We met on social media in 2020, literally on the same day the world shut down for COVID. While everything around us was closing, somehow we opened a door to something new. We were living an hour apart, so for two years we were doing nothing but long drives, late nights, and putting way too many miles on our cars just to see each other. But every mile was worth it.

In 2022 we finally moved in together, and that same year in November we welcomed our daughter. Becoming parents together changed everything in the best way. It made us closer, stronger, and more sure of what we wanted for our future.

Then came December 23rd, 2023 — the night KJ proposed. We went to see the Christmas lights on the naval ship at Nauticus in Norfolk, and when we walked onto the bridge of lights, he stopped. He was so nervous he had to pull out his phone to read what he wanted to say. It was the cutest thing ever. And right there, surrounded by all those lights, he asked me to marry him.

From meeting on social media during a pandemic, to surviving distance, to building a home and a family together… this is our story. And now we’re getting ready for our next chapter — our wedding, and the rest of our lives together.
